布を知るために、工場の外側も見る
一着の服を理解するには、生地の表情や手触りだけでなく、それがどのような土地と技術の中で生まれたかを知ることも大切です。山、森、工場、企業の記憶が一つの風景としてつながる場所では、ものづくりを単なる工程ではなく、文化として見ることができます。
長年の関係から、現地を訪ねる
VESTAはLanificio Ermenegildo Zegnaと長年の付き合いがあり、北川美雪自身も現地を訪れています。生地を扱う日々の仕事と、その生地が生まれる場所を訪ねる経験。その二つがつながることで、布を選ぶ視点にも奥行きが生まれます。今回ご紹介する特別公開は、そうしたものづくりの背景に触れる機会です。

VESTA has a longstanding relationship with Lanificio Ermenegildo Zegna, and Miyuki Kitagawa has personally visited the mill. Her visit connects the everyday work of selecting cloth with the place where it is made. The forthcoming public opening offers readers their own opportunity to explore that manufacturing heritage.
Casa Zegnaから、歴史的なLanificioへ
Fondazione Zegnaは2026年9月30日、10月10日の「Giornate FAI d’autunno」のプログラムを発表しました。当日はCasa Zegnaが10時から17時まで無料公開され、Chiara Camoniの展覧会をめぐるガイドツアーも予定されています。さらにFAI会員を対象に、歴史的なLanificio Ermenegildo Zegnaを訪ねる特別見学が行われます。
工場見学の条件
Lanificioの見学は10時、10時30分、11時、11時30分に出発します。対象は18歳以上のFAI会員で、現地入会も可能です。定員があり、biella@delegazionefai.fondoambiente.itへの事前予約が必要です。参加費は10ユーロ、午後の散策との組み合わせは15ユーロです。
午後は、森へ
14時30分からはOasi Zegnaの森を歩く約4キロ、約2時間のガイド付き散策が行われます。予約は不要で、FAI会員10ユーロ、非会員15ユーロ。工場の歴史と森の手入れを同じ日にたどることで、上質な布を支える考え方を、製品の外側から見つめられる構成です。
装いの背景を選ぶ
生地を選ぶとき、色や柄、季節だけでなく、そのメーカーが何を守り、どのような土地で技術を育ててきたかを知ると、選択に奥行きが生まれます。旅先で工場やアーカイブを訪ねることは、服を見る目を静かに育ててくれる体験です。

Fondazione Zegna announced its 2026 FAI Autumn Day programme on 30 September. On 10 October, visitors can explore Casa Zegna, while adult FAI members with advance reservations may join timed visits to the historic Lanificio Ermenegildo Zegna. A guided afternoon walk through the Oasi Zegna forest connects industrial heritage with the care of the surrounding landscape. The event offers a rare way to understand fine cloth through place, memory and manufacturing culture.
