昨日ヴェスタGM北川は、イタリア大使ベネデッティ閣下とサビーナ夫人にご招待いただきまして、同公邸にて行われた、共和国記念日レセプションのお祝いに参加しました。

招待客は各国大使をはじめ、日本からは政治家や大臣などスピーチされ、イタリア共和国設立のお祝いにヴェスタとして列席できましたこと、改めて、イタリア大使ご夫妻に厚く御礼申し上げます。
列席者のファッションはいかに
今回の招待状にはドレスコード記載はなかったのですが、例年通り、列席者の装いは、ビジネスフォーマル姿の紳士が圧倒的多数でした。
スーツにネクタイ、そして軍関係の方は軍服。夕方からの式典ですので、タキシード姿の紳士もちらほらお見かけしました。
ヴェスタをお召しの大使は3カ国、そしてイタリア企業トップも
今回、ヴェスタ北川として大変嬉しかったポイントは、三名の駐日各国大使、そして同じく三名のイタリア企業トップがヴェスタのスーツをお召しでご参加になられていたことです。
レセプションの会場で「このスーツ、すごくいいでしょう！どこのかわかる？（笑）妻に『今まで着てきたスーツの中で、一番良いわね！もう1着作ったら？』と言われているよ」と声をかけてくださった大使も。
またイタリア企業の社長様からは「僕のお気に入りテーラーなんだよ」と列席の他のトップにご紹介いただいたりと、大変に名誉なことです。
この場を借りまして、ヴェスタのものづくりに賛同し、数あるテーラーからお選びいただいておりますこと、厚く御礼申し上げます。
皆様の格好良いスーツ姿で、主催者や開催国イタリアに敬意を表されるご様子、とても眩しく拝見しました。
ドレスアップの基本に忠実
パーティーでの装いは、自分がお洒落を楽しむより先に、お祝いの席を主催されるお相手への敬意が大切です。そのドレスプロトコルを目の当たりにし、テーラーとしても良い経験をさせていただきました。

パーティーのお食事は、共産企業が振る舞われ、ワインやリキュールはとめどなく提供され、ピンツァという厚めのパンのようなピザ生地に具材を乗せた物や、各種チーズやハムなど、大勢の列席者が舌鼓を打っていました。
また、イタリア大使公邸パーティーでのお楽しみといえば、イタリアを代表する高級車の数々が展示されていること！
今回も、ランボルギーニ、フェラーリ、マセラッティ、パガーニ、アルファロメオなどを生で見てテンションが上がりました。この辺りも動画で見ていただけますので、よろしくお願い致します。

Attending the Celebration of the Italian Republic Day Reception
Yesterday, Vesta GM Kitagawa attended the Italian Republic Day reception held at the residence of His Excellency Ambassador Benedetti and Mrs. Sabina, upon their kind invitation.

Distinguished Guests
The attendees included ambassadors from various countries, as well as politicians and ministers from Japan, who delivered speeches. It was an honor for Vesta to be present at the celebration of the establishment of the Italian Republic, and we would like to once again extend our heartfelt thanks to the Ambassador and his wife.
Fashion of the Attendees
Although there was no dress code mentioned in this year’s invitation, as usual, the majority of the attendees were dressed in business formal attire. Men wore suits with ties, and military personnel were in uniform. Since the event was held in the evening, there were also a few gentlemen in tuxedos.
VESTA-Clad Ambassadors and Italian Business Leaders
A particularly delightful point for Vesta Kitagawa was that three ambassadors to Japan, as well as three top executives of Italian companies, attended the reception wearing Vesta suits.
One ambassador approached me and said, “This suit is really nice, isn’t it? Do you know where it’s from? (laughs) My wife told me, ‘This is the best suit you’ve ever worn. Why don’t you get another one?’”
Moreover, the president of an Italian company introduced us to other leaders, saying, “This is my favorite tailor.” We are deeply honored by such recognition.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude for choosing Vesta from among many tailors and supporting our craftsmanship.
Staying True to the Basics of Dressing Up
The attire at the party is not just about enjoying fashion for oneself, but about showing respect to the hosts of the celebration. Witnessing this dress protocol was a valuable experience for us as tailors.
The Festivities Continue
The party featured food provided by collaborating companies, with an endless supply of wine and liqueurs. Attendees enjoyed dishes such as pinza (a type of thick pizza dough with toppings), various cheeses, and hams.
Additionally, a highlight of the Italian Ambassador’s residence party is the display of Italy’s top luxury cars. This time, we were thrilled to see live models from Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Pagani, and Alfa Romeo. You can also see these in the video, so please check it out.
